Facing loss, we realize the fleeting temporary nature of life. Uncertainty and disorientation lingers. Memory can be sparked yet inconclusive. I am compelled to investigate what is real and use reality as the source and infrastructure for my work. I am interested in how altering context from the physical real world (e.g. by changing scale and speed), can transform the viewer’s experience into something phenomenological, where the significance lies in the transition period where there is no beginning or end, and not in the conclusion. My work exposes different aspects of the human condition, such as, mortality, memory and loss.
